4 of the Freshest Southern Vermont Farmers Markets
1. Arlington Village Farmers Market
The Arlington Village Farmers Market features dozens of local vendors right on the Arlington Inn’s beautifully landscaped grounds. The market opened in the late summer of 2018, making it the newest outdoor market in Southern Vermont. Selections include fresh produce, baked goods, dairy products, and organic meats. Visitors to the farmers market love the Arlington Inn’s renowned “Meet the Makers” series, which features a different local brewery or distillery every week. You’ll also find activities, live music, and a “health booth” at this special event.
The farmers market is held each Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., starting in June and finishing in early September.
2. Manchester Farmers Market
As a producer-only market, the Manchester Farmers Market only features vendors who have a direct hand in crafting their food, craft, or goods. The market features over 30 vendors, including farmers and artisans. One of our favorite parts of the Manchester Farmers Market is that you have a chance to chat with the farmers about their products. Don’t forget to take a peek at the full list of vendors before your visit!
The Manchester Farmers Market runs each Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. It is a seasonal market that operates from May through October, rain or shine.
3. Bennington Farmers Market
The Bennington Farmers Market is another producer-only market in Southern Vermont. However, this is one of the only farmers markets that is open year-round! This means that you can always enjoy fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy products, and your favorite local products. Shopping at the market is a great way to support local farmers and businesses.
The Bennington Farmers Market operates each Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
4. Dorset Farmers Market
There are over 50 vendors to shop from at the Dorset Farmers Market. This is another year-round market that operates each Sunday (excluding Easter) from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Special events and live music are always on the calendar.
